TRU Youth Advocacy
Youth who attend this training should have attended one of the previous training or has a sound foundation in tobacco prevention. This session will teach them how to use their knowledge of the tobacco issue to advocate for a specific policy change. Youth will learn to understand advocacy, activism, and diplomacy.

-Policy issues and actions
-Assessments and surveillance techniques
-Working with the media
-Advocacy skills practice
-Specific modules available such as Tobacco Free Schools Compliance, Smoke Free Youth Hangouts, Smoke Free Parks and Smoke Free Places of Worship
