Media Literacy
Youth will learn how to be media literate and understand the relationship between media and their culture. Techniques used in tobacco advertisements will be reviewed, as well as how to use the media for your own anti-tobacco media messages.
Objectives:
1. To become media literate, understanding the relationship between media and culture
2. To analyze tobacco ads with an understanding of marketing principles and techniques
3. To develop the skills to create tobacco-free ads with ideas for use to educate for community change and positive social norming
